I contemplated not saying anything on Facebook but i wanted to share a few words on the events of this week. As many of you know, my family unexpectedly lost my grandfather on Monday. This week has been a very emotional week for my father and the rest of our family as we pour over pictures and memories from our time spent with GG. He was such an inspirational man who as I found out this week helped more people than I ever knew. The lives that he touched was evident in the packed auditorium yesterday at his celebration. Notice i said celebration not funeral. Since Monday, weve definitely mourned but mostly weve laughed. Weve celebrated. GG was one of the most loving men that Ive ever known. Traits that he passed on to my Father who passed them on to me and my brothers and traits that one day Ill be able to pass down so the legacy lives on. I will miss talking Rangers and Tech football, shooting skeet on his property and his infectious laugh and insanely sarcastic and witty humor . Family dinners will obviously never be the same. But my comfort lies in the fact that hes sitting at the feet of our Lord and Savior and I know he wouldnt come back for anything. We love you GG. See you again.
