I copied this from Jans page. Jan is Priscillas mom and has been keeping Glenn and Olivia and giving them as much normalcy as possible. It is a very thorough report about our son-in law, Wesley. I hope you dont mind, Jan. She said, Wesley had his surgery on Friday. Since the doctor had said he thought the cancer was contained, we were expecting the best. Unfortunately, we did not get the news we were hoping for. The tumor had already eaten through the colon wall and all lymph nodes are involved. They took out 2/3 of the colon but as of now there does not need to be a bag. They were able to resection what was left of the colon. Now we just wait until pathology comes back on Monday or Tuesday to find out the prognosis and further treatment. Currently they are anticipating that he will have to undergo chemotherapy for at least 6 months. It is not going to be an easy road. Thank God we have been left with some hope that he can be treated and recover. The next year will tell the tell. Priscilla is a remarkable optimist. She is holding up amazingly well and dedicated to Wesleys care and keeping life as normal for the kids as possible. The kids will be with me until Wesley is home and Priscilla feels she can juggle them, her classes and Wesleys care. We are all so grateful for our friends and family who have offered babysitting, prayers and donations to give forward( giveforward. As you may know, Priscilla and Wesley will continue to need help and prayers for the foreseeable future. Also please keep Wesleys mother in your prayers. She has now been through this with her husband twice (losing him at an early age), her son Will recently and Wesley twice. Thanks again for all your thoughts
