I could fall in love,with you. Part 10: *Fast foward* It was time my big baby turned 21! By now me and Tasi have been going on strong for 6 years now. Who knew I could last, let alone have such a loyal and faithful boyfriend? It’s like a fairy tale right? Lol, nah all you need is trust and faith in the Lord that with whatever obstacles there will be, He will bring you through them. Now, Tasi isn’t one for a big celebration because he hates the spotlight so his parent’s thought of just having dinner, with his family, my family of course and his closest friends and workmates. Turning up I saw that majority of his rugby club was there, taking up most of the space. Jose, Francine and Lilita saw me first with fatty. “Girrrrrrrrl your man has some fine assss friends he plays with. They look even more delicious in suits” Lilita couldn’t hold her cool. Being 20, she thought her time was ticking since all 3 of us had our forever kinda men. Me with Tasi, Jose with Sione (obviously tongan, a guy she met at work) and crazy Francine with Keni still, 7 years these guys have been at it. As more people started to arrive, I noticed that this fathead had a lot more friends then I thought he did. (Not in a bad way babe aha) Soon the restaurant got pretty packed, so it ended up being a party. The deal was that Tasi’s parent’s were to bring him through, and have Caz with them aswell. I had told Tasi I had work late so I couldn’t make his family dinner, he actually begged me to come, my poor bebe, but stood by the plan. At that, Caz gave me a txt to say they were here. The lights turned down low, everyone hurdled, everyone made sure they were to park at the maccas across the road so there wouldn’t be any suspicions before he came through. Opening up the door, the light’s switched on with everyone yelling “SURPRISEEEEEEEE ONE!” A personal joke the boys from his rugby team never forgot. A little background info, since Tasi in Samoan means one, and he was the first to get and stick with ONE keinge, they’ve called him ‘One’ since the beginning. Tearing up, Tasi scanned around the room to everyone who came to his birthday surprise, the boys came at once, lifted him on their shoulder and started singing him a happy birthday, his hands against the roof so he wouldn’t bang and knock himself out before the party began hahaha. With that, he made eye contact with me holding his birthday cake as everyone quieted down, and our Mum’s started singing softly in Samoan a happy birthday, as a pathway was made for me to get to him, I could feel myself tearing up, and shaking as I sang a happy birthday walking towards him with everyone staring at us. As I reached him, singing him a happy birthday. He locked his hands around mine on the cake. “Make a wish fatty” roars of laughter filled the room with the boys making the “whapisssh” sound. “You’re forever hooked One, One. No more unleashing the beast!” Daniel yelled. As I looked hard into his eye’s, I could see the joy and happiness he displayed, and knew I was in his good books now from earlier this morning. Blowing out his candles, with everyone cheering and whistling. Tasi quieted down, the light’s had switched on, and all eye’s were on Tasi. “First and foremost I’d like to thank our Heavenly Father for blessing me with a beautiful family, the greatest of friends, but most importantly the most gorgeous and loving pele I could ever ask for. From the day I saw Keni push you over at his rugby game, I knew I had to protect you. Don’t worry Keni, I like you now. Well sorta” Keni from behind slapped him on the back and laughed alongside everyone else. “From day one, this beautiful girl has been my rock, my one and only, my forever. I couldn’t ask for a better half than you Raeah.” As we both teared up, he pulled a box from his pocket and started shaking. “Gorilla, here!” Tina had come beside him to hold out tissues, and placed a soft kiss on Tasi’s cheek. “Thanks monkey.” Taking a deep breath, Tasi straightened and addressed everyone. “Since everyone I care about is here, to celebrate 21 years of my life, I’d like to address the 6 years of my life I will never get back because of this fa’akiga ulu (head ache) right here. We have been through so much together Ri, and I couldn’t ask or picture myself with someone else more perfect than you. I can’t breathe without you because you’re the air I breathe, the floor I walk on because you are my support throughout my rocky roads, but mainly my fatu. I need you to live, to smile, to be happy. It is true you are my first and have been my only girlfriend. The first girl I ever thought fit to introduce to my Mum, and I can see that by Mummas approval, I picked the right pele. To my bestfriend, I want us to be forever, yes we’re young, and I know your not 21 yet, but I can’t wait any longer to claim you as my forever under the eye’s of God. There’s no one else Ri, no one else but you. Now, I didn’t know that this was all prepared, and I would’ve wanted to come over later on tonight, but this will do perfectly” As he got down on one knee flashes of light were blurring my vision, but all I could see was Tasi. He was my world. There is no one else. “So Raeah Margaret Tilomaivia, will you do me the greatest pleasure ever, and be my wife?” holding my hand, he was sweating just as I was. “On one condition” I could feel myself laughing on the inside. “Anything, anything, anything Ri.” “I want a bigmac tower at our wedding.” Everyone bursted into laughter and Tasi couldn’t contain himself from laughing at me, I got a slap from my Mum on my head, “Ga’o mea ai lou alelo”. Tasi laughed even harder, pulled me in, wrapping his arms around my waist, “So how about it, be mine forever pele?” Smiling at him “Yes, I’d love to fatso!” “SHE SAID YESSSS!” Suddenly everyone rushed to us to congratulate us both, a massive bear hug with everyone in it. The night was filled with so many smiles, Francine found her a man from Tasi’s rugby team who she clicked with automatically who was Eddie (half samoan, half Maori). Everyone seemed to be enjoying the night.
