I could have sworn todays newspaper article said $500 million to Syrian opposition groups. This says $4 billion. Huge difference. also, after two years of civil war in Syria, is this the first major assistance planned? I hope not but if so.. how freaking brain dead. Regardless, what a tangled web we weave. Syria is bombing ISIS in Iraq. Syria is bombing everybody in Syria and killing dozens of civilians at a time with barrel bombs dropped by helicopter. Now Iran has two Republican Guard groups in Iraq. Iran is recommending who to replace Maliki or whatever this idiots name is. What? we have 500 or so Americans back in Iraq? whos the enemy you might ask? Heck.. I will sound politically incorrect but I like Sarah Palins quote.. let Allah take care of them. Seems like we should be doing what we can to save the non-Muslims and in particular the Christians from certain annihilation. Instead, Obama calls them a religion of peace. Surprising comment since the only time they are peaceful is when they have complete control and all the apostates are dead.
