I could not agree more! The traffic in my office used to increase dramatically the last few weeks right before testing. They would come in complaining of headaches and stomach aches, but when you talked to them they were often able to verbalize their anxiety over the test. Now they practice test, pretest, and test ALL year long and the stress level and traffic in my office NEVER ceases. I went from seeing 25-30 per day to seeing 50-60 per day (boarding unmanageable). I HATE (not a strong enough word) this testing for what it is doing to our children, not to mention our teachers and administrators!
