I could not agree more, but the reason why this would not happen is because it would be unconstitutional not to pay Congress. That is right America while military members, federal employees (border patrol, civilian contractors, etc) worry about where their next pay check is coming from if they do not raise the debt ceiling, Congress has a constitutional protection to ensure no matter what, they always get paid. The Twenty-Seventh Amendment of the Constitution prohibits increases or DECREASES of Congressional pay. I know bull shit right! This is when the advocates of the nation should come together and fight to eliminate Congressional pay protections out the Constitution.
