I couldnt do this earlier - it was too dark to see! But now that some sort of light is manifesting, it becomes clear why... Theres the old grey blanket again, only this time a really heavy regulation issue type - wall to wall - across which great inky raggedy clumps are rolling and tumbling in their seemingly desperate haste to be somewhere else, and from which - after a long time without - at least 6 weeks - there are, at last, big, fat, juicy drops of rain falling in a steady stream to the earth below... To the plants in the garden thatve had to make do with the occasional hose soaking for week after week, this must be like manna from heaven! Its showing no signs of abating, either, and it must have been raining for a good long while, too - judging by the lake thats formed on the skylight, rippling and splashing with every precious drop... Even in this murky morning light, the greens seem fresher, and the far horse-chestnut treeline is a positive riot of bold, vibrant yellows, reds and russet browns, which shows just how dusty and dirty all those leaves really were without the benefit of a good shower... And this is not a shower, its a positive deluge... Hooray for the rain! :¬}
