I covered a story of international importance today. You may have heard of Luke Somers. He was one of the hostages held by Al-Qaeda who died after a failed US attempt to rescue him a week ago. He graduated from Beloit College, located down by the Illinois border, and today the college held a memorial ceremony. While those of us attending just expected this to be a school celebration of life, it turned out his mom, brother and close college friends also attended. It was a very moving ceremony to have the privilege to cover.
