I cross the Peru-Bolivia border with a 10 hours bus/ferry trip today. Before I come, I check online that Bolivia has many requirement for visa application. I read many horror stories of tourists been turn back at the Bolivian custom cuz they did not meet all the visa requirement. But I got my visa-on-arrival w/o fuss. The immigration officer did not ask me for my yellow fever immunization card, bank account statement, flight ticket out of Bolivia, or passport size photo. He just ask for US$55 and thats it.
