I decided to call people the names they have chosen to be called as long as those names are positive and doesnt contradict the Word. I believe Names are Great and Significant. I also believe that peoples name have a link with their Destiny. But you see, you dont know peoples encounter or experience that made them chose that name. That name may represent a phase in their journey of life. It may represent a picture God has shown them. Though some chose names for fame, and for other selfish reasons. Let God be the judge. I love the names my parents gave me and I have not changed them( am not even planning to). I only added FREEMAN to my names and its for a reason. That name came by revelation. God saw what Abram would become and changed his name to Abraham. He saw the purpose of Jacob and called him Israel. God also saw my end from my beginning and called me Freeman in the year 2011. So if a brother wakes up one morning and decides to be called Rare Gentle or Positive , I wont criticize them. If a sister(because of her encounter or the picture she have seen) decides to be called Noble, Exquisite or Uprightcare, I wont view them as fools and ignorant. Every name has its glory. So, dont make a mountain out of an ant hill. As long as that name is godly and Scriptural, I dont condemn it. THIS IS WHERE I STAND(THIS IS AN ANSWER TO A QUESTION FROM A SINCERE BROTHER BOTH IN THE FLESH AND IN THE FAITH). Finally, mind the name you answer to. If the names your parents called you doesnt represent your destiny, change it with their consent. Be destiny conscious. It is your destiny, rule it. For this post, judgment is allowed. Thank you.
