I decided to make a batch of Naan bread for tonights whatevers leftover in the fridge supper, only thing is Im out of yeast so my brain goes to work and I said self beer has yeast and you make beer bread why not try that? You see where Im headed right? I take the Naan bread recipe and just sub the beer for the water thats called for ok then I need a little more and when I finished Id used the whole 12oz. I did have to add about a 1/4 cup more flour than the 3 cups called for, once I got the consistency I needed I covered with plastic, let it rest 1 hour, pinched off balls, rolled out and cooked in a hot grill pan. Viola! Puffer than traditional Naan bread but same taste, some I rolled minced garlic into the dough, some has course pretzel salt and some I left plain. When time to serve Ill warm them up in the oven. Sometimes I just amaze myself!
