I decided today that in order to avoid traffic and the headache of finding parking I would come to the Susan G, Koman walk with my hubby. As I sit here I can see a row of about 7-10 homeless people sleeping on the side walk. All of the sudden on lady gets up and walks to a nearby railroad crossing light and takes a squat immediately after she leaves these huge rats run to where she went to the bathroom. Some of these rats are bigger then my shoe. I stop to think. We all walk around talking about our heavy burdens and what we dont have or what we want but do we ever stop and say THANK YOU for what we do. I cant imagine sleeping less then 15 feet away from where a colony of rats live much less find a bush where to take care of business. We take so much for granted we truly do!! I know for some homeless its a choice for others its the only way but ones again I am thankful for everything I have and everything I dont have. Just had to share this!!!
