I declare freedom to the captives and sight for the blind. I - TopicsExpress

I declare freedom to the captives and sight for the blind. I declare that all the oppressed go free in Jesus’ name. And I declare the favor of God upon you. It’s not because I say so. It’s not because you wish it so. It’s because Jesus is anointed to bring freedom to those held captive. He came to set all the oppressed free. And when he died on the cross and rose from the dead, he purchased that freedom for all of us. He paid the price to ransom us so that we could be truly, really, actually free. That’s what Jesus himself said in Luke 4:18-19: “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” You’ve got to get that truth deep inside your heart today. You’ve got to say today, “I’m not going to let Jesus’ death and resurrection be wasted in my life. He came to set me free, and he paid the price for my freedom, and I’m going to make sure Jesus gets what he paid for!” (Rev. Richard C. Whitcomb, 2013)
