I depart for Kathmandu in just a few days. First a quick week-long trip to Bhutan, then a return to Nepal and then the Everest Trek begins. Our team will be up at Everest in just about a month. For those of you who have just heard about the April 18th avalanche, Ill do my best to film material to put its impact in context. The Everest community in general is small--the Sherpa community in specific even smaller. This was a truly devastating event. My thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected by this tragedy.
