I did every task a nurse could do today except a code blue. From changing a foley on a female to straight Catherization on a male from unclogging gtubes to passing medications From pt care to specimen collections. From calling doctors to report labs to body checks for showers from making nursing assistants assignments to answering questions for family members from taking vitals to giving breathing treatments from accu checks to insulin and heparin injections. From no lunch to eating a bag of chips and a cold pop from working 12 hour shift to getting off on time.
