I did it! I got that cortisone shot in my heel! The Dr. I had to see instead of busy Dr. McConville,,didnt know how to give the shot. She had my foot x- rayed, and while I was waiting informed me that Id have to come back for a follow up to get the shot! It didnt take me but a New York minute to straighten her out! I went there to get the damn shot and I was going to get it before I left there!. Ive suffered long enuf! And they make you pay up front now, so I informed her that I wasnt going to pay another co-pay! (35$) On my way back to the room, I saw my Dr. and then gave him the what for but not in a mean way,,told him what I was there for and one way or the other I was going to get it. At first he just said Im sorry. Then stopped by the room and told me to have Dr. Cant give a Cortisone shot get him when she came back. I had to lay on my stomach, so I grabbed the top of the mattress on the table...I didnt cry,,I didnt scream,,but I did say Gods name and not in vain. Didnt pee my pants or ship them.LOL..I kept it all inside like I do much of my pain. He kept apologizing,,such a kind man he is. It felt like I slowly stepped on a nail honestly...excruciating! But all that matters is that few mins of pain then (will take a few days to take affect) will give me back some of my freedom!Thank all of you who encouraged me to do it!
