I did not feel all that hot this morning and the sound of the rain did not do much to motivate me to push on. I had a 6:30 class tonight that I almost talked myself out of going to because my body is truly just worn. I laid in this bed literally all day. My spirit just would not let me rest, so I got up and pressed on. I am so grateful that I did. Tonight was a powerful class. I heard a word from God today that really made my night. This woman in my class who very seldom says anything asked me to do one simple thing for her, and I did it. She said thank you. In the business I am in, I have learned not to expect a pat on the back or even a thank you. In fact, most if the time in receipt for assistance all we in the helping profession get, whether ministry or social work, is complaints and attitude about what all went wrong. I was so very touched by that womans sincere gesture of just saying a simple thank you.
