I did some research tonight out of curiosity on Liberalism. I connected the dots to Ayn Rand...remember Paul Ryans idol? ~ **Ryan often visited the office of libertarian professor Richard Hart to discuss the theories of these economists and of Ayn Rand. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Ryan ~ One of my conclusions is that Rands philosophy is that of a Liberalism of sorts that was adopted in the Reagan Era, that has almost wiped out our middle class. Another conclusion is that Rands philosophy was that of a corporate capitalist. I have no clue if this is a ligit term but her philosophy was basically that we of little means are the slaves, and the corporation people are the masters. Sound familiar? Rand believed that belief in a higher power or in God only restricted ones personal rights. So it seem the Traditional Conservatives have been tricked into following an anti Christ philosophy, without realizing it...because todays so-called Christian politicians say what they know you want to hear, then impliment laws that accommodate Big Corporations. They are wolves in sheeps clothing. ~ **Traditionalism developed in 18th-century Europe (particularly in response to the English Civil War and the French Revolution). In the middle of the 20th century it started to organize itself in earnest as an intellectual and political force. This more modern expression of traditionalist conservatism began among a group of U.S. university professors (labeled the New Conservatives by the popular press) who rejected the notions of individualism, liberalism, modernity, and social progress, promoted cultural and educational renewal,[2] and revived interest in the Church, the family, the state, local community, etc. ~ Rand believed in Relativism, or Subjective Relativism:. Ethics were out the door rit.edu/~w-ethics/resources/manuals/dgae1p4.html ~ **The Roman Catholic Church, especially under John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI, has identified relativism as one of the most significant problems for faith and morals today. According to the Church and to some theologians, Relativism, as a denial of absolute truth, leads to moral license and a denial of the possibility of sin and of God. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relativism. ~ Hang in here with me and the picture will start to appear if you are good at connecting the dots. ~ **Neoconservatism is a political movement born in the United States during the 1960s. Many of its adherents rose to political fame during the Republican presidential administrations of the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. Neoconservatives peaked in influence during the presidency of George W. Bush, when they played a major role in promoting and planning the invasion of Iraq.[1] Prominent neoconservatives in the Bush administration included Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, John Bolton, Elliott Abrams, Richard Perle, and Paul Bremer. Stick with me here okay? ~ **New Conservatism: In China, New Conservatism (新保守主义), sometimes translated as Neoconservatism, was a movement which first arose in the early 1990s and argued that progress was best accomplished through gradual reform of society, eschewing revolution and sudden overthrow of the governmental system. This movement was based heavily on the ideas of Edmund Burke and was described in the West by the scholar Joseph Fewsmith.[1] Other than the name, the movement had no connection with neoconservatism in the United States (the US movement is instead referred to as Niukang in Chinese), though, from the standpoint of philosophy, it can be identified as a form of conservative thought, albeit ideologically different from old conservatism (旧保守主义). The new conservatism movement in China was in general supportive of the current government, while at the same time being opposed to aspects of the government which advocated the notion of revolution. However, unlike the official ideology, Chinese new conservatism was neutral on the validity of Marxism and skeptical toward Mao Zedong, founder and long-time leader of the Peoples Republic of China. Seen from a Chinese new conservative perspective, the Great Leap Forward, the Cultural Revolution, and the Tiananmen Protests of 1989 were all in error in that they attempted to change society through revolutionary means. ~ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Conservatism_(China) ~ Sounds like the Bundy Bunch huh? I am sorry, Pun intended, but it is late ~ **The term neoconservative refers to those who made the ideological journey from the anti-Stalinist left ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Stalinist_left ) to the camp of American conservatism.[2] (Neoconservatives) frequently advocate the assertive promotion of democracy and promotion of American national interest in international affairs including by means of military force.[3][4] The movement had its intellectual roots in the Jewish[5] monthly review magazine Commentary.[6][7] C. Bradley Thompson, a professor at Clemson University, claims that most influential neoconservatives refer explicitly to the theoretical ideas in the philosophy of Leo Strauss (1899–1973).[8] en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoconservatism ~ Okay Im getting really sleepy now, and loosing my train of throught, but if you study the research I was able to complete, and the links that explain, I hope you will understand that you good God fearing Christians have been duped ~ Good night my dear friends
