I did the unthinkable. On my ballot this morning, I actually wrote ABSTAIN in the governors race. There were three candidates on the ballot, and I couldnt stomach any of them. The Republican is a misogynistic pig, the Democrat is as flaky as a bowl of cereal, and the Libertarian is just plan frightening. No other options were up, and I couldnt find other suitable independents or third party candidates for write-in. This time, my conscious wouldnt let me vote for the least of three evils. It told me that if *this* is the best the Old Dominion state can come up with, then were in more trouble than we thought. Sad, sad, sad.
