I didnt want to take away from Beths post but wanted to pick brains about the Parvo issue and the Veterinarians that WONT use it or DONT believe it in. Other than vaccinating yourself, what do you do?? I am a member of many of our Ft Bliss Pets groups and everyday you have so many dog owners reporting the bloody stools, vomiting, etc. When someone posts about an accidental litters, I always, always push them to purchase NeoPar for their puppies because it is SO much cheaper to go that route and give their puppies a fighting chance than to go to the vet, pay 5x as much for one vaccination that most likely wont give their puppies any real protection. Im not lying when I say I see on AVERAGE 10-15 posts of peoples dogs/puppies coming down with parvo and the But theyve had 3 vaccinations! I took them to the vet!. Some are even coming from AC or the Humane Society and already have parvo. When I picked the brains of two veterinary clinics I use, both said they dont believe NeoPar protects the dogs enough (mmm.. okay, Ill continue MY vaccination protocol, but thanks!). I think its more of a $$ issue. Why use NeoPar and lose their income from dying dogs?? I called back home to Pennsylvania to pick their brains about NeoPar. Not as high of a parvo rate there and they LOVE the stuff! What is this about?? Why dont some vets want to research this stuff??
