I do apologize for the length of this post but I had an epiphany - TopicsExpress

I do apologize for the length of this post but I had an epiphany this evening, about the diversity of my friends and family, and I want to share it with you. For the third time in a year, I have posted a request for prayers for a member of my family, each time prayer warriors (a term I admittedly stole from my friend Renee Bisbee) have come forth and supported us. Tonight I was talking to Tina and I told her to tell Jim that Christians and Pagans from one coast to the other were praying for him. I have been driving the last few hours thinking about the power behind that statement. Diversity in times of adversity, its truly beautiful. I have friends and family of many different faiths, Christian, Pagan, Wiccan, Catholic, Jewish, Druid...and the list goes on. Is it the power of the prayer, the energy sent, the candles lit, or is it the sheer power of combined faiths? Perhaps it is both, but I feel the power of your individual faiths combined for a greater good, the strength that we are able to draw from this is awesome. What I am trying to say is, can you imagine the power of all faiths combined, what could we not accomplish. My step daughter Lindy was first, she is now cancer free. The second was my grand son Jaxton West just a few months ago, now a happy, healthy baby boy with no adverse effects from his bout with spinal meningitis at two weeks old. And now we are receiving strength from you all once again, it is incredible! The thought of what we as a society could accomplish if we just practiced our individual faiths and did not concern ourselves with what the other folks were doing. Going to stop now before the rambles start, thank you all for your strength and faiths!
