I do feel a little bit childish getting like this about a TV show but frankly Im too frustrated to not say something. A consistent problem I had with the Matt Smith era of Doctor Who was that they were highly convoluted and overly cerebral, with bizarre pacing in the best of times, with a very bland hue of writing in comparison to the rich colourful and bold ideas from series 1 to 4, and here and there with series 5. I firmly believe that Moffatt is catering to the cult followings of Doctor Who and is oblivious to the fact that he is losing some of his more loyal fans that have been rooting for it since Eccleston, with his diabolical concepts. Tonights episode was a let down really, it started incredibly well, it was very very scary and the cinematography was spot on, but frankly it just fell apart; the pacing was incredibly strange as about 30 minutes in it slowed down completely, but then suddenly all the answers were packed into the last five minutes or so which was annoying because as a viewer, it wasnt intense or on the edge, rather it was flatlining. Needless to say Im cross with Moffatt and I want to smack a rolled up newspaper on his nose
