I do not even know how I happened to find this page but I am so glad that I did. I have always been a hound dog lover. I had a Beagle and a Beagle Lab before I ever got my Coonhound. I had never owned or even been around Coonhounds. However, I run a group where I network animals in danger of being PTS etc. One day I came accross this Coonhound in NC. He was skin and bones. He had been left tied up outside when his owners moved away. I shared him. BUT that face, that story I just kept going back to this dog and telling myself he needed me. You see I rescue severe abuse/ neglect case dogs. I want to show them that there are good people in this world that will only love them.There is a very long story associated with my Coonhound but I will make it short. I adopted him. He came 1300 miles to me and I have to say I have never regretted my decision for one day. He is the best dog ever ! He is friendly with my other dogs, he is friendly with my kitty, he loves my grandchildren, He is a huge snuggler who hugs mommy allot. He has fit right into my pack and not one person who comes to my home does not leave loving my boy. Here is Chumlee.
