I do not like, nor observe Easter, nor Christmas. In my way of thinking, none of the traditions associated with said holidays truly add emphasis to the incarnation and resurrection. You are welcome to call me Scrooge. Eggs and dead evergreens do not emphasize the importance of the incarnation and resurrection of Christ. I believe that every Lords day is a celebration of Christs incarnation, and every Lords day is a celebration of His resurrection. Christmas and Easter have a different name for me: Sunday. They are celebrated 52 times in a calendar year. Thats when we gather to celebrate the incarnation and Christs resurrection charge our batteries and face the world for another week. Perhaps, Im a jerk that hates your Easter dress, and your advent candles. Ill own that. Dear Christian, every day is Easter, and every Day is Christmas and we get to celebrate that EVERY SUNDAY.
