I do not understand this business of not publishing Matric results in newspapers. Is it to protect those who have not been successful? It has to be the case because the Minister and MECs are busy parading the best students in various functions since yesterday. Regardless of publications, friends and relatives will still enquire from the learner or family how the learner has fared. What will be the response? None of your business? While at this Matric issue: What was the point of having someone who forged his Matric results as a speaker at the Ministers event? Did the ANC really call for a probe of the decline in the WC results? Assuming this to be true, is the call extended to all other provinces or only the WC?
