I do not usually write post in English but this one is for my (unfortunately less than dozen) non Israeli friends (but my other friends are welcome to share this). 02.30 A.M and the sirens are heard through the streets of Tel-Aviv. As I do not have a shelter at Home I had to wake my 3 kids and run to the shelter located in the street. Yes I know that you all heard of our Iron dome but its 90% accuracy and are you whiling to take a 10% chance with your kids? I know that on the other side kids and civilians are killed and wounded and I truly feel bad about this. There is no celebration in Israel when kids die (no matter whats their religion). Here are some facts you would not hear from your press: There are over 1 million Arabs living in Israel, they have the same rights as I do, no one is bombing them or killing them. They do not have to contribute anything (like go to the army) yet they get all the same benefits, they have their share of parliament members (over 20 out of 120), and as Israel is a real democracy, they have the right to stand in parliament and claim that HAMMAS is not a terror group and no one will do a thing to them. Israel is supplying (even through these days) water and electricity to Gaza. Gaza is in dept. of HOURDERS OF MILLION OF $ to Israel as they did not pay for this electricity (their money goes into terror tunnels). Israel is still supplying over 200 trucks of food and humanitarian aid on a daily basis to Gaza (and Hammas rockets are shut on those trucks on a daily basis). But lets put all that aside and get back to last night. Please close your eyes and think for a minutes about your child that safely sleeps at his bed. What would you want your government to do if someone shuts a missile to your house. If you cant sleep thinking that a terror tunnel might be running under your house. If your child has to wake up in the middle of the night screaming that there is a siren and we all have to run to shelter. What is a proportional retaliation for that (for you not for me). And try to be honest in your reply to this!
