I do not want to enter into any controversy but do you seriously think that by abolishing ones right to hunt for turtle doves and quails in springtime season will stop the illegal hunting done on protected species during all year? One should maintain the present derogation from EUs Birds Directive and enforce and take action against the hunters who actually break the law. As I always say we are very good in making laws on paper but we do not implement and enforce what has been legislated. Let us educate the hunters first and also the so called animal activists, whom have a stand on this matter only to make self-publicity, to distinguish what are the preys that can be hunted and also when to hunt for them. Everybody should be capable of living peacefully together as long as everybody follows the rules accordingly.
