And it doesnt do anything for any of us. Indian actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan echoes Ms Morleys statement. The former beauty queen has lauded the organisers of the international beauty pageant for removing the swimsuit round from their competition. She says when she won the crown in 1994, she herself didnt have the fittest beach body. Without mincing her words, the former beauty queen expressed her happiness at this decision. Discussing the exclusion Aishwarya said that when she became Miss World she definitely did not have the best beach body of all the 87 contestants. So with utmost confidence the actress said that the bikini round is not an imperative round and not the deciding factor to choose a winner. Soon after winning the title in 1994, Ash expressed to the organisers how it was not naturally comfortable for some contestants belonging to different nationality to wear a bikini on ramp. For the next three years the pageant honchos did away with the swimwear round and instead brought in a beach wear fashion show where contestants could showcase their beachwear. During the Miss World 2014 contest, Aishwarya Rai was felicitated for being the most successful Miss World ever. The actress is making her comeback to the big screen after almost five years with Sanjay Guptas Jazbaa.
