I dont expect many of you will read all of this, but I hope my friends will. One group commenting on attacking another is bad enough. Personal attacks are intolerable, especially when theyre lies. Though my name isnt mentioned, anyone in the animal welfare business around here knows the below describes only me; I founded the Vance County SPCA and Friends of Vance County Animal Shelter facebook pages...I am currently the HSUS Vance County leader. I was a vet tech who euthanized at the Wake County SPCA, but I dont brag about it. The rest are pretty much twisted truths or lies. And they are intolerable...and some illegal. My late husband and I worked our entire married lives to help animals...34 years. But bringing him or our old house up is painful and cruel, and the writer knows nothing about either. I HAVE made some stupid mistakes, but have and do not try to harm Ruin Creek. When I screw up I apologize and have asked to work together repeatedly. I dont know what action will follow this; theres a second post calling me vicious and vile that stated the below offended me (really?), but since I didnt reply it must be true. An organization that claims that they are aimed at saving animals today berated and banned someone for standing up for an animal and demanding that the owner spay/neuter an animal that they said they had BREED and then surrendered to the shelter. This page claims for be the friends of the shelter. Why does the shelter need a friends page??? I bust my ASS every single day of my life to save animals and give up every second of free time that I have and I dont get a supportive page, NOT one single one of them helps me, they dont foster for our group, they dont transport, they dont do anything but stir the pot and I for one am SICK of it. What really pisses me off is that this utterly useless page is ran by a lady who often brags HOW SHE WAS A EUTHANAISA TECH! Yep FOLKS your friends page is ran by a woman who killed animals and sees nothing wrong with it~ She also runs a self-proclaimed HSUS group (with no other members other than herself ) and an SPCA group ( with no other members other than herself). Once she offered to foster a sick dog for me, I thought she possibly could be a caring and compassionate person, 2 days later I had to pick up the puppy because it was almost dead, SHE STUCK IT in a box in her garage. I saved knowing if it stayed with her it would DIE. She is also the lady that supported another self proclaimed rescue when they were getting funds for rescuing animals from shelter and then turning them into a local rescue. SHE supported them and sent them and sent them private emails between us and then they had a good laugh about it!! This lady HAS got to be stopped. She constantly hinders the work of people that are trying to save animals. She is a lonely old bat that has nothing to do but to cause trouble, had she minded her own business some perhaps she wouldnt have lost the house that her husband had worked so hard to pay for! So friends, I beg of you, if you are supporting a group please take the time to get to know that group and ask them physically what they do. STOP supporting those whose only goal is to hinder the work that IS REALLY BEING DONE. And here is an interesting thread and example of what I am preaching about. This person was banned for her comments. When the truth hurts this is what these types of groups do! A man dumped this 10mo old boxer mix to die at High kill gassing shelter in NC He is on the thread as is his daughter who BRED THE MOM that caused this litter I asked the daughter to get the mom spayed and sure I scolded them both on dumping a dog to be gassed to death at a high kill shelter The page SUPPORTED THE OWNERS and scolded me This is NOT the actual rescue page for Vance County Animals This was a page designed to sing the praises of a hideous shelter where dogs and cats are kept outside freezing in 27 degrees or lower A pup froze to death not long ago. You need to see this.
