I dont get it. I was listening to my messages and I ran into one from the SSA Office. In the message, they were telling me about a new program for Disable to get back into the work force. What makes this more interesting is that the person calling was not a recording, but a live agent who called me by name. I have a feeling on where this is going and I dont like it. Maybe its not right by my part to feel this way, but let me let you in a little history. Social Security was not created for retirement, it was created as an insurance for people who got badly hurt at work and couldnt work anymore. When I worked and got hurt at work and went Blind, I had a goal. A dream that was taken away from me by some freak accident at work. I payed for what I get from SSD, so why do they want me to work in some stupid Mop factory earning little money or standing in front of a store as a Greeter looking like an ass. I would like to say that Ive always worked with music and I wont work with music unless is hands on. Ill gladly tell this agent to take his so called program and put it where the Sun dont shine. I dont care for politics, but this looks like the Gov is trying to do the same with what they did with Public Assistance Grants, and we all know that the program failed because The Gov was paying more out to so called Vocational Specialist that only hanged out in the office and didnt really care if the people in the program were really looking for a job or not. So what they want to do now is pick on people who are limited and not able to fight back. Ill get into the program. only if they agree to pay me for Med School or better yet, a Lawyer, but I wont work in some dead end job that I dont like. This is not right and it sucks!!!
