I dont get the if you are shopping on Thanksgiving you are part of the problem posts. I mean I understand what they are trying to say. But what about all the restaurants that are open. Those workers have family too. What about the policeman, fireman and medical staff at ERs that are working? So, these posts are saying that if you really gave a shit about society youd stay out of the ERs, eat at home, shop on a different day, etc. Maybe its because my family typically has to work on the holidays and weve changed our lives around to match that kind of schedule that I really dont give a shit if we share a meal on Thanksgiving or the weekend after. In my mind, why dont we get behind spending less time spending money, period. On any day. Holiday or not. How about we get happy with what we have. More doesnt seem to be enough with us anymore. Its because we focus on the WRONG thing. Family time is family time, no matter what day you are doing it on, holiday or not. AND, its a choice to work at Walmart. Sorry. Ive worked 3 jobs at a time in my life to get by...Walmart was never one of the places I chose to work, cause it is a choice. Im not saying they are perfect, but its not Walmarts fault workers work there. Good day.
