I dont hate school, I hate the fact that school isnt about learning. You dont choose what you study in high school, and then youre expected to choose what you want to do for literally the rest of your life based on which classes you did well in. School isnt about learning, and Ive only met a few teachers in entire school career that actually cared about teaching me something. If every student in a classroom spends more time worrying about how theyre going to cheat to pass the test instead of studying, school isnt about learning anymore. Its about grades. From the moment you get there its, Let us grade your handwriting, Oh, that coloring looks nice but you didnt conform to how we do it so it isnt right, Here, take this worksheet while I sit at my desk and refuse to help you because the government said this is the best way to teach. Do you learn how to get a job in highschool? Do you learn how to deal with so much anxiety that you cant sleep? No, you learn how to make a grade. And that is something I hate. Being graded. I despise the fact that if I take a 100 point quiz and I get 79/100 questions right, thats is a C. Im average. Because I answered 79 questions correctly I am of average or even below average intelligence. School isnt about learning, school is about grades.
