I dont know about all you other moms but at times I feel like Im the glue that has to hold everything in place. However, Im so busy that sometimes I dont see how much Im really needed by different people in my home. I had a pretty tough night last night. This morning I was quiet, getting myself and the kids ready for school. I sat down to put my shoes on a tender little heart sat down beside me. Now, he knew nothing about my night or at least if he did, he couldnt understand it. He flashed a big genuine smile my way and said, Id miss you if you werent here. That statement meant more to me this morning than ever. Kids are perceptive, theyre honest and they love unconditionally. I hate that I dont have more time for the little people in my life. I work all the time and start my second job when I walk thru the door of my home. Hearing those words this morning made me realize how much Im needed. I dont have to be perfect, they love me regardless and wouldnt trade me for a million perfect moms. This kiddo already has a wonderful mom and I wouldnt try to replace her. Im just lucky that I get to share in such a kind, caring little life. Guess what Jacob?? I love you too and no matter where our lives my take us YOU will always be in my heart .
