I dont know if I could say that Ive ever seen such a flagrant display of ignorance. Ive held my tongue long enough. If you hate soccer, its because you dont understand it. Any hateful disposition to the sport is a result of one of two things--one, you dont have the intellectual capacity to get it. Sorry, idiots exist in this world, and you could be one of them. Two, youre lazy. Watch the sport. Do some research. Talk to foreigners. Look at its global impact. If you do this, youll see that this sport is a gift from God. Politically, its embarrassing to see how fellow conservative, liberty-minded people have addressed its global success. Wake up, people! In a world where intervention of the State is destroying countries, liberties, and lives, weve been given the gift of this game--this game highlights the inherent desire in people to compete. The game was a tie? So what? The fans hate it, and the players hate it. No one likes the tie. But it exists, and it shows these people--people who live in countries where the State dictates their wages, where the State normalizes the impoverished state, where the State tells them that equal outcome is preferable to equal opportunity--how equality of outcome contradicts this inexplicable, inherent desire we all have to succeed. We need this game to show the rest of the world why competition is good. We can use this game to promote free-market principles in a state where these principles are demonized. In many cases, this may be our only way to do this. Be sure to never attach any kind of credibility to this woman--if this piece is reflective of her approach to all things, we all need to be ashamed of the amount of attention weve given her. clarionledger/story/opinion/columnists/2014/06/25/coulter-growing-interest-soccer-sign-nations-moral-decay/11372137/
