I dont know if its just me but I sincerely feel there is still a very small pool of metal fans in India with disposable income. I still see most bands (mine included) still selling merch/music to the same group of people. Which in turn along with the various gigs puts a massive strain on them to be able to afford it all which will in turn affect each band/promoter I mean almost every band has a t-shirt available and they are all great designs. Its the same with concerts. If you come to think of it even at concerts apart from Maiden and Metallica I dont think any band really drew a massive crowd, I think Lamb of God and Slayer would be the next biggest concerts and if Im not mistaken they were between 6000-8000 only which given the size on the metal community (judging from the web) its not a massive number. Anyone care to chip in with thoughts?
