I dont know if this is a typical Sheepie trait or not, but Merlin likes things to have a place, and stay in their approved spot. New furniture, a chair moved from one room to another, or even a new candy dish on the mantelpiece can upset him greatly. So you can imagine how he felt when we completely rearranged the bedroom today! But my deliberate placement of a rug to allow him to jump up on the bed without slipping has made him very, VERY happy! Only in the last few days has he felt brave enough to jump up even when we *did* put a rug down for him. He feels like such a big boy now!
