I dont know if you have ever been stranded or just in a situation - TopicsExpress

I dont know if you have ever been stranded or just in a situation when you needed some help and help came unexpectedly. That was my experience from ibadan to lagos one sunday afternoon. There was heavy traffic so our driver was just trying his best to find a way out of the traffic when another driver pulled over by his side and accused him of scratching his vehicle. Just to get the driver off ours and seeing that for some reason, the traffic was thinning out,we all joined to apologise to the driver, though no scratch was found on the vehicle. The driver and other passengers of the other vehicle seemed to be people who have a problem with peaceful resolutions,so one of them hit our driver on his head with his hand or so and asked him to turn off the engine of his vehicle. They seized the vehicle key. It was a sad drama of oppression and injustice. At this point, some of us had alighted to mediate but the more we tried, the tougher those people were. One was even fiddling with his phone saying he would call the police. It was an over-exaggerated situation. As I stood by the road,I was silently praying that this whole nonsense drama should end because time was ticking. With no alternative vehicle in view, I was just praying that the spirit of oppression which had possessed these people will leave them and let us go.As it was, every vehicle passing had to slow down as they approached where we were because the scene was building up traffic...and it was then something happened. Suddenly someone called my name. At first,I felt embarrassed that I was at such a scene but then again, I was relieved to think that this may just be that help had come. I looked and it was a friend from way back. They stopped and offered to give a ride down to lagos! Needless to say, that God showed up through a friend as an ever present help in time of trouble!#TestimonyThursday
