I dont know why we continue to delude ourselves with the notion that WE, the USA, have to provoke radical Islamist hatred. Growing tired of reading that targeting ISIS with airstrikes may increase the terror threat. Yeah, I guess, assuming that terror groups like ISIS, Al Qaeda, Al Shabaab, and AQAP could hate us any more than they already do. We cant let fear and war weariness stop us from defending innocent people. I understand we arent the worlds police force, but we have a responsibility as the only nation in the world with the capability and the decency to assist innocents to actually assist, and not hide behind politics. Im glad President Obama has acted decisively here, and I think he deserves all the credit in the world. And, if you arent aware of whats happening in Iraq and Syria, go to LiveLeaks, watch the ISIS propaganda videos that show mass executions, beheadings, drive by shootings, kidnappings, and snipings that take place solely because of religious differences within different branches of Islam. Take a look at the state of Syria, where 5 year old Christian girls are beheaded by the knuckle dragging cowards in ISIS. I know Im sounding like a war hawk, but Im just disgusted that the Western world has let this take place for so long. We need to let hell-fire rain down on these thugs. Interesting note: the leader of ISIS, al Baghdadi, was once an American prisoner, and was released by the Bush administration in 2004. I wonder what will become of the Guantanamo prisoners we traded earlier this year...
