I dont like change and modifications arent really arent my thing. My Ural (WARCAT) is basically the way its been since I got it (2009). However, I had an issue where an upgrade was the right thing to do. Im in the high mileage club and frequent oil changes are standard issue around here. Can I change my own oil? Of course I can! With that being said here is an email (review) from my husband who just went through the 1st oil change w/my new oil filter set up; Tracy- getting the new front engine cover for WARCAT was the best acquisition for that machine ever! In my opinion it looks good but far more important to me is how clean and simple it makes oil changes. Not only does the change require just a 14mm wrench- it also eliminates the mess of pulling the internal old school filter. On top of that you get better filtration of the oil by using advanced canister filters that can be found at any auto part store. Overall a big thanks to IMWA for suggesting the upgrade. Recommend any Ural owner out there to make the change if they havent already. My rig runs much better w/this set up and Im very pleased with it. All I can say is I use this system and it works !!
