I dont like speaking on hot topics until I have read up a few sources... But now I think I have and have let my mind chew over this topic for a bit. So I am now of a view that Gareth Cliff made a seriously bad move. Whether it be for fame, or it was just a bad joke, it did serious damage to his reputation. Gareth Cliff said that Argentina wouldnt make the same efforts for Messi that South Africa is making for Senzo Meyiwa. He also implied that Messi is far greater than Senzo was. In short, He was telling the South African public that they were overreacting over the passing of the National Goalkeeper and the funeral was fruitless and wasteful expenditure. On the very same day that the nation was mourning the loss. Bad, bad move. That tweet had the venom commonly spat out by the likes of Steve Hofmeyer, and very few might have expected this from one of the judges from Idols.
