I dont like to think of myself attached to movie stars but I confess my grief in the death of Robin Williams. I grew up with his humor and his many personae. But I was moved to change my perspective as a father from the movie Hook. I owe an inexpressible amount of gratitude to Mr Williams and all who brought the movie into being. I got a second chance to play with my pre teen children, Elizabeth and Benjamin, through plays at TheatreBristol and the Paramount. Coincidently our first play together was Peter Pan. I was too heavy by then to fly so I was Hook, Ben was the dog/ticking croc, and Elizabeth was the twin with the one line my mother doesnt want me to grow up to be a pirate. Thank you, Peter Pan. And sorry, Mom, about your Pirate.
