I dont like to use the word rules ever, it sounds far too - TopicsExpress

I dont like to use the word rules ever, it sounds far too impossible. I think boundaries are important yes, and holding each other accountable is important yes, but while we are all created equally, we are not all one unto ourselves, we need each other, we need community, we need to be open to letting go of what we know to make room to learn what it is we dont know. Sometimes we need a shake up. Sometimes we need to check in with our values, and sometimes we need to re-evaluate them and ask a completely new set of questions. Some call them values, some call them rules. Potatoe, Potato, the question is always why. At the Live Life Light Adventure Retreats I hope that things “get all shook up” for people and my only rule or what I hope to align with my own value system is, that when at my retreats we are all ego free and non-judgemental and that an environment is created for all of us so that we can feel safe and at home and free to be as authentic and vulnerable as we all can possibly be and that everyone feels a deep sense of gratitude. That there is a space of freedom, created, for all. I will never ever pretend to be perfect. I can promise the world that. No one person can be perfect. Perfection only exists in imperfection. This is where we can apply the psychology of flow. Just go with the flow, dude. In my retreats I hope that in that shake up, where people are out of their comfort zones we put into practice letting go, acceptance, non-judgement, forgiveness and gratitude and going with the flow, dude. As this retreat winds down I can wholeheartedly say I feel as though I’ve been part of an altered reality for the last 7 days. From the first tears flowing as my amazing guests arrived and the amazing gifts they bring, to the time I looked up at the smiles on everyones faces as many took to the surf board for the first time, to the laughter, the tears, and even the moments where I could tell some were uncomfortable, to the moment one guest told me they got it, or another came to a difficult decision, to another doing yoga for the first time and putting it on her list of things to start doing when she got home. To standing back to have a look at all my retreat guests laughing and helping the kids at the school do handstands, to Lisa’s and my shared tears of joy to see it. Hearing everyone shout “I’m on a boat” when sailing under the hot sun, to the sound of the wind gusting filling the sails of the boat and feeling the boat keel ever so slighting that the ocean mists caressed our skin reminding me of my Wednesday night regatta’s sailing with my dad. He’d be proud. Meditation under the stars in a courtyard and charkra clearings in the living room. Why? Because I want to bring adventure and joy to peoples lives, because I want to connect people. Because I want people to connect. Because I want to form communities and see communities formed. Because I want to see joy and smiles and space for people to make the changes they want to make in their lives and be the people they want to be in this world. This is success to me. And sometimes its hard work. Life is an adventure. I sit here as my retreat guests are off flying through the sky on a zip line feeling an enormous sense of gratitude for them, for each and every one of them for it is they that have brought their amazing love and energy to this week and with them NONE of this would have been possible not just for me but for each one of them individually, for the pilots, the drivers, the service workers, for Mille and Yanessy, for DeWitt Tsunami Noir Foster III and for Stephanie Jean, Nica Sail and Surf, Barrio Planta Project, for Parque de Aventura Las Nubes and Christopher Jarc and Lisa Fleming, Leanne M. Lavoie and yes, thank you Bianca. For everyone we met along the way because everyone we meet, we meet for a reason, every life we touch we touch for a reason. Thank you San Juan del Sur for welcoming us into your home. I set an intention for the Live Life Light Adventure Retreat in Nicaragua, and that was that life long friendships were made, people connected, adventure was had and that love and freedom was felt by all. Thank you to each guest and everyone this week that came and travelled along with me and each of us for this time on this adventure called life.
