I dont listen to a lot of mainstream radio anymore. Unfortunately, I do have to listen to it while Im at work and if the musical content of the Top 40 radio station is indication of what Im missing...I dont miss it at all. I swear, stabbing forks into my ears would be a lot more comfortable than having to listen to Taylor Swift croak out another round of Shake it Off over and over...and over again. Anyhoo...a lot of the music I do find, is via word of mouth (I have a reliable source ;) ) or I will come across it randomly on youtube, etc. I know that some of these artists, are not new...and have been at it for many years, but they are new to me. This is because they have actual and true talent...and they make music which has substance, and can stand the test of time,...and generations.
