I dont make PSA announcements until today......this is all craziness. I grew up in a community, even more with a school class that in at least in my grade we rarely saw color. That was proven a few a months ago at our reunion. Every race has cliched positives, every race has cliched negatives, we are ALL human. Lord knows Ive done unquestionable things in my life. Ya...this little white girl. Its 2014, its time to stop. Was the poor boys murder unjustified, probably...I honestly have no say in it....I wasnt part of the jury. What I do know is I have two amazing boys, no matter the color of their skin, no matter their ancestors ....they are gonna have to suffer for years to come from our generations reactions. We may not see eye to eye but their father and I have raised both of our boys to not see color. We both grew up in towns with ridiculous reputations and guess what....we are better for it. We had people of every race at our wedding MANY years ago. And guess what? We were both raised in homes where discrimination was still present. We didnt let it effect who we were, who our friends were, how we would raise our children. I have seen soooo many negative fb status from every race on my page. Just STOP! It has to end with us, or it will never end. We cant change the past or the present....BUT we can change the future....do it NOW in our homes. This weeks media will make history books just like the race riots we read about in school. How wonderful would it be if our grandchildren could learn about the time our nation came together in their history books. I love you all, white, albino, black, brown, yellow, green, hell even purple if your out there. Its time for change.....from ALL of us....
