I dont normally like to get into all of this because, quite frankly, its a long ass story that requires you to sit down and listen and not many people are willing to listen. It also requires you to accept that we (our government) have pretty much been backing an organization/entity that has murdered massive amounts of innocent people and continue to do so. The Israel/Palestine issue comes up every other year and Ive learned most of what I know of it from my experiences in Iraq (we had a lot of Palestinian refugees and interpreters who worked with us and through reading the Iraq War Reader (which I encourage anyone with a serious interest in the Israel/Zionist agenda to read).
