I dont normally post about things like this (though maybe I should), but after watching this video I am filled with pain and outrage over the grand jurys decision and feel that people must speak out. I am fully aware that I might not have all the facts, though given the history of these events, I suspect that this video tells much of the story. At this time, I look to the Neviim who speak at length about the governments responsibility to preserve societal tzedek u-mishpat, which thankfully our police forces often do. That, however, does not absolve us from our obligation to stand up in outrage when the police dont uphold their responsibility. I hope that we can all join together to strengthen our personal and communal commitments to these hallowed ideals.
