I dont often post here since I am not an active member, but I must say I see a lot of discourse within our own ranks and that is not going to lead us to victory in November. I think a problem we have as republicans is that we pay more attention to elected officials and form opinions more easily then our democratic counterparts who rally around the candidate more easily, which is largely because I dont think they pay as much attention. I must say that frankly that is a benefit on their part and our disagreements are a disadvantage to us, because it takes unity to win an election. We have probably the greatest advantage to elect a new member to congress and keep our house seat this year out of any seat in the entire commonwealth. Because of this, it is important that we unite behind a candidate who can attract votes from all pieces of the party. Bickering with one another over minimal disagreements is not going to help us, and I say this to highlight a problem our party has. Even if we dont agree 100% with a candidate, which is impossible to do, we need to rally behind one electable candidate and put them into office. From there we can work with that candidate as constituents over what issues are most important to us and work out a solution to achieve those goals. I think Barbara Comstock and Ed Gillespie are the perfect candidates to do so with this year and I offer both my endorsement.
