I dont often share about my personal life and family, but I simply have to tell everyone our good news! My daughter has been accepted so far to 3 of the 4 art colleges she has applied to, and has been awarded scholarships as well. She just received her third acceptance letter today, and I am tickled pink! I cant believe she is already 17 and going to college next fall! She is a very talented artist and musician (flute). I am so very proud of all her hard work and dedication in music and art. One of my very favorite quotes, one I decided to live by, is: “Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” ― Howard Thurman I told my daughter years ago, someones going to tell you you cant make a living being an artist or a musician. Or tell you that you are lucky if you make it big as a writer or an actor, so dont even try. Dont let those people belittle your dreams or discourage you simply because theyve shrunk their own dreams to fit in with the rest of the world. You go do what you love and you will be a success every day of your life. The world always needs more people doing what they love and sharing their unique perspective on life. Love this girl so much!
