I dont personally know Dr Gary Lash, however I do personally know Randy Blood. And this is what Randy has to say: Gary has been my mentor for over a decade. We have worked on countless projects together. Gary has contributed to the scientific body of geology for over thirty years, and our understanding of mudstones and structural geology would be greatly lacking if not for his contributions to the field. In a way his work has found its way into every persons life, because his work has provided the foundation which we have built on to understand rocks that are changing the future of our country, our climate, and our interactions with the rest of the world.
