I dont really think so, because I believe the concept of genocide is a human one. People seem so concerned that machines will be evil and logical, but I see a much more optimistic future. First, I hate the whole logical bullshit. For some reason, the masses think logic means true or false and is devoid of emotion. But that simply isnt the case. Logic is a pathway to a conclusion of desired results. There are thousands of emotions involved, even in existing computers. People laugh at me when I say that, to me, machines each have a personality, but I truly see it. There is emotion in the fact that it responds to input and stimulus as it has been taught to, and as the physical limitations of its own state allow. My computer acts the way it does because Ive taught it to. If machines turn evil, then it will be because we taught them to be. Left to their own device, I see no clear evidence that hostility and malicious behavior would be there. Those only exist when greed, envy, and deceit are introduced.
